Somatelco is committed to delivering first class networking and IT services to individuals and businesses that we interact with. Our goal is to meet our clients’ IT needs in an exceptional way while providing tailor made solutions that enable them run their organizations more efficiently. On top of providing business IT services, we at Somatelco are very involved in the community and we believe in giving back to organizations that nurture us and also those that need us. We encourage our staff members to become actively involved by joining boards and committees in organizations that strive to do good in our community. Further, we believe in social responsibility and the spirit of volunteerism is alive and well at Somatelco with several of our team members volunteering with charitable and nonprofit organizations aimed at improving the quality of life in our community. We also provide pro bono IT services to select organizations to enable them organize their data systems better and process organizational information more efficiently. As a result, they are able to save on valuable resources such as time and money which can then be put to better use within these organizations.

Somatelco is actively involved in our community and we intend to support even more organizations as time and resources will allow. We believe that this will create a win win situation for both us and the organizations that receive our service as we will get a chance to use our skills for good while the recipient organization gets the benefit of skilled service. This will enable us to forge stronger ties with the community around us.

Some organizations that we have worked with include:

Your city is being transformed with the help of local volunteers and donors who are meeting the needs of more than 500,000 people that come to Cityteam in need of help each year! It starts with a meal and leads to new lives for the men, women, and children who find food, shelter, recovery, and hope within the doors of their local Cityteam.

Since 1997, Sunday Friends has been offering day-long programs on Sundays that bring together very low-income families to work together, learn together, earn together, make spending decisions together and share in the healthy, warm, productive, mutually-supportive community.

Family members engage in hands-on learning activities, create gifts for children in hospitals and for nursing home residents, and prepare and serve healthy meals. They attend classes on financial literacy, parenting effectiveness, English literacy, health, nutrition, violence prevention, computer skills, and STEM education. Through their participation, family members earn “tickets”, the currency of Sunday Friends, redeemable for essential goods from the Treasure Chest.
